Details
Your humble servant Aventurine at your service.
A senior manager of the IPC's Strategic Investment Department, though I suppose that might as well be on pause. Right now, I'm a senior manager at Phoenix Casino, instead - why don't you stop by sometime during the evening, and you might as well be met with a bunny surprise.
Meet new people, form new bonds, and have fun. Isn't that what everyone comes to casino-resort for?
Glad you asked! Though I'm not sure how much it counts for a talent, I have quite the impressive luck. No matter the gamble, the danger, the puzzle ahead of me - if I bet it all on my "luck", then I know I'll come out of it the winner.
Though if you want actual talents, then you will have to get to know me and find out yourself.
I haven't yet read all the books in the universe, or watched all the movies, or listened to all the songs, or eaten all the food... So it's hard to say I have a proper favorite, isn't it?
Are we finally addressing the elephant in the room? Let's see...
Someone kind, interesting, intelligent, who enjoys a good conversation. Is that too broad? Then perhaps I'm just that easy to charm, haha!
I find wine suits my palate better, but I won't turn down the offer for beer if you'd like.
.02 CLOWNS OR MIMES
No real preference. If they're both meant to entertain, isn't the one who makes me laugh the better one?
.03 SHOWER OR BATH
A friend of mine would stand by a quality bath time, and after spending so much time with him, I've got to say the same!
.04 PIRATES OR NINJAS
Between a group of people known for freedom and rule-breaking, and those bound to loyalty... Is this a question about which I find more interesting, which I would want to be, or which of these sentiments I relate to the most?
.05 TITS OR ASS
Does it really matter, if both have their own appeal? Or rather, perhaps I should say it truly depends on the person.
.06 COFFEE OR TEA
A proper morning starts with a good cup of coffee. It's essential to any corporation worker like me.
.07 SPICY OR SWEET
Though both have their appeals, sweets are easier on my tongue. Perhaps it's hard to let go of my inner child? Haha!
.08 SUMMER OR WINTER
Most of my childhood was spent under the scalding hot sun of the desert, and though I'm quite used to it, I can't help but enjoy the comforting cold of winter nights the most. Besides, sharing a warm blanket with someone isn't so bad of a way to spend a winter day, is it?
.09 LEATHER OR LACE
Each kind of fabric has a time and a place to belong. Leather for something more formal, perhaps even casual. Lace, for a more intimate encounter. But both do suit me, don't you think?
10. ROUGH SEX OR GENTLE SEX
Am I on top, am I on the bottom? Those things are necessary to know for a proper answer. Whether you want me to be nice or not, whether you want to be nice or not... Knowing your partner's preferences is what matters the most, isn't it?

( he's gonna ignore the question sorry :\ )
no subject
I didn’t say you lied.
no subject
Who told you what foxes got from wolves? ( OR... THE LACK THEREOF.... )
no subject
As she.
no subject
also, why did he expect kirma's stt to make any sense of that. sighs. )
> INCOMING CALL
no subject
that being said— he doesn't actually know what it was, so he doesn't say anything after picking up, either. there's just the typical crunchy ambience of silence on the other end of the line. )
no subject
It's common courtesy to answer your calls with a 'hello', my friend. ( because he has to do everything himself, apparently ) Mind repeating that name for me again? I would love to get to know your friends.
1/2...
2/2...
( 🥹 )
Did it not send? Esi. ( the soft accent there might help clarify his failed text. ) It seems you and he had something in common.
no subject
Oh? And what is it? ( the fact they're both manipulative bitches??? )
no subject
( does he realize this is because of their suits? probably not. this is a willful ignorance, for once; the less he understands about this place, the easier it is to swallow their treatment. )
no subject
hey. at least aventurine laughs, on the other end of the call. )
Is that so? He must have been quite the charming one. ( lol ) What did he say about foxes and wolves?
no subject
( he even tried to interrupt it, at one point, but that just made esi start the whole thing over. sigh. )
Perhaps… there was more variation in the messages, though.
( between the pause and the slight shift in tone, it’s obvious that he’s looking for a way this inconsistency could resolve without the possibility of deception, however unrealistic of an explanation it may be. he may be troubled, but he also wants to believe the best of the person who has yet to steer him wrong thus far— as far as he’s aware. )
no subject
topaz would advise him to be honest. himself... )
There wasn't, ( aventurine says after a pause, no clear difference in his tone, as though he's simply stating something that doesn't concern him in the least, ) But I wanted an excuse to come see you. Hahah, you can't blame me, can you, my friend? Can you imagine my face when I saw that there would be no reason for me to come have fun with you?
( tailored, honeyed words that linger with both truths and lies. such is aventurine's modus operandi. )
I didn't think that would cause you to doubt my intentions. I truly just wanted to see you.
( liar liar pants on fire )
1/2?? idk what’s happening anymore
the call ends. the words and numbers that pop up mean nothing to him, but aventurine’s icon disappears from the face of the watch, and the soft buzz of audio being transmitted is gone.
he must have pressed the wrong button?
uhhhh. )
ok.
How do I put it back?
( slightly frowning face. he’d add it, but that’s a lesson that hasn’t happened yet. )
laughing
ok then bye. )
no subject
aventurine thinks it's cute that the call ended right after that, because he wonders if those words did something to kirma to make him accidentally end it... that's at least what he hopes happened, but it's hard to know with him. oh well.
another incoming call! )
no subject
except, kirma isn’t actually sure what to say. now that the distraction of hanging up on him has subsided, he’s still left with that uncomfortable feeling, one that makes him grateful they aren’t face-to-face for this conversation. there’s a lot that aventurine doesn’t understand, he thinks—
but then, there’s a lot he doesn’t understand, either. )
— Hello. Again.
( because that’s how calls start, right. )
I certainly didn’t mind seeing you, so— ( eughhh how does he put this ) If that’s all it was.
no subject
cute though, that kirma learned. it's less cute to see him look for the words to say, because at the end of the day, it does eat at the depths of aventurine's chest, where he keeps his heart safe from all of this. whatever this is. knowing that at the end of this partnership of theirs, he'll thrive to hurt an innocent man so worse doesn't happen.
but for now. for now, he needs kirma to believe him. )
Do you doubt my intentions, or is it that you've been deceived this way before?
no subject
in the end, whatever curiosity was on his mind goes unvoiced. (no easy way to ask hey so what does that brand on your neck mean, after all.) what he does say— )
No, neither of those. ( well maybe a little bit of the first one but ) It's nothing that would matter here.
no subject
their conversation could end there. maybe it should, and yet - ) You know, I find you easy to talk with, because you always answer everything I ask honestly. But that's also a problem, when I don't know what to ask of you. ( which is to say: ) Won't you tell me more about yourself, Kirma? Maybe it's not something that you think would matter here, but I would like to get to know you better.
( because if he knows his weakest spots, then... )
no subject
One thing I notice about this place... some words occupy a much narrower space than what we're used to.
( deflecting on something easy like this seems easier than digging into social strata and implications, for sure. )
Like when you asked me— ( fuck i don't remember the name but tbh neither does he. too preoccupied with topping badly. ) ... Well. It sounded as though it would be something other than human.
( does this sound like a big enough concern, he wonders. it's difficult to say when he doesn't actually feel much about it one way or the other; it isn't the wolf that leaves him in a precarious position. again, he has to be grateful that only his voice is up for scrutiny, for the scrunch of his face and set of his ears would surely reveal more of his hand, otherwise. )
no subject
Borisin, ( imparts upon ye the forbidden honkai: star rail knowledge ) I suppose it depends on what you consider to be 'human'. Is that something you find unattainable?
no subject
( it’s a more general you, there; the whole of golden peacock seems to love finding all these little categories to break people down into, all while kirma has yet to see a single person that couldn’t seamlessly blend in back home, if they wanted to. )
My guardian, mentor, ( owner, ) was three heads taller than me and had the face of a vulture. But there’s no word for it, like that— he was simply from the high mountains, where the people are blessed by the birds they give their bodies to.
( honestly the whole furry event was like one big extended microaggression with how the house treated it? makes u think. but with that little bit of exposition shared, kirma finds himself reconsidering aventurine’s question. perhaps it doesn’t mean much in the literal sense this that the subject has turned to, but it is something unattainable, in a more abstract sense. his choice of example could have been better, huh. )
… It was just something I’ve noticed.
