( the planet teyvat is in, according to the data they have, is one of those that give the most trouble to the ipc. not because they are always shutting down any opportunity for trade and interference, no. but when they don't follow the aeon belief system, and their own gods and deities are so present - everything else becomes a tad more complicated.
some nations had welcomed their offers. liyue and fontaine especially, interested in what comes from beyond the stars. mondstadt lies neutral for the most part, inazuma and natlan need their rightful time to build proper trust. snezhnaya... well. they're a work in progress.
a long, curious work in progress. the fatui always keeps their eyes on the ipc, distrustful and cautious, and someone as high ranked as aventurine is no exception to the rule. much the opposite, in fact; he has been told of the possibility of the tsaritsa sending one of her own hounds, to watch over him. a harbinger to a stoneheart. isn't that a match made in heaven?
it's fine, though. he's not here for anything suspicious, really. since fontaine and the ipc have a good relationship, isn't it only fair that some of its employees would come over for one of its festivals? for a nation that certainly loves its theatrics, it will surely deliver a show worthy an intergalactic travel. and who would aventurine be, if he didn't quite love those? )
An interesting array of plays this year, don't you think? ( he had been looking over the posters for the participants of this year's festival when the corner of his eyes spotted a red-headed gentleman approaching. his smile is measured and amicable on his face - he knows exactly who this person is, too.
nothing wrong with playing a little game with him, though, is it? ) I myself am looking forward to the adaptation of the acclaimed Inazuman novel, "I was reborn as the Archon's puppy and she has to fall in love in 14 days or else I'll die?". Which one are cheering for, my friend?
( admittedly, the Lord Harbinger would find it interesting that this individual decides to talk to him out of all of the possible strangers to randomly strike up a conversation with. he's so used to people outside of Snezhnaya shunning a Harbinger whether out of distaste, fear or both that being spoken to for conversation by a random person is almost jarring.
without missing a beat, he cants his head towards the posters at hearing the stranger's choice for his bid of favor while approaching to look at the festival's lineups. )
You know, I think I was recommended that one as a read, when I visited. I just got a little too busy to sit down with it. But if I have to pick one of these, I'll go with... "Is it wrong to pick up a god in a foreign land when you're the enemy spy?"
( although Childe does pause a moment, squinting a little at the poster. he was just picking one randomly, but why does it feel like it's familiar now that he says the title out loud? did he read that one? he's pretty sure he would have remembered it if he did.
can't be more Liyue fan fiction can it.
shifting finally, Childe turns his gaze to meet the other's head on, offering a similarly friendly smile. )
How many of them do you plan to check out for yourself?

(but Childe is not here in his fatui uniform, instead dressed like an ordinary citizen of Fontaine, so it's not really all that unusual or telling that he's being spoken to.)
